See You Yesterday

Netflix
Film

Proyect Summary

We didn’t get to edit the Netflix feature film produced by Spike Lee and directed by Stefon Bristol — but we did cut the short film that started it all.

Stefon came to us with a script and asked us to edit and post-produce his short in New York. As soon as we read it, we saw the spark. We jumped in, doing what we do best: trusting our gut, ignoring the lack of budget, and embracing the chaos — even if Stefon was still green behind the camera.

The short made its rounds through festivals, picked up awards, and eventually landed in the hands of Spike Lee, who clearly saw the same thing we did. A year later, Netflix dropped the feature version, same title, rave reviews, and tons of views.

What started as a no-budget indie became a $4 million production. Classic America.

Did they offer us the edit on the feature? Hell yeah.
Could we do it? Nope. U.S. immigration and red tape had other plans.
But hey — we know what we’re doing, we called it from the start, and we’ve got a damn good story to tell.

Let the fame go to someone else. We’re good.
